At Mirador Counseling, we are committed to nurturing the next generation of compassionate, culturally aware therapists. Our internship program provides graduate students with hands-on clinical experience, mentorship, and supervision in a collaborative, inclusive, and safe environment.
We believe that a supportive training experience helps interns build confidence, deepen clinical skills, and explore their professional identity while making a meaningful impact on clients' lives.
Who We Welcome
Master’s and Doctoral students in counseling, social work, or related fields
LPC candidates looking to gain supervised clinical hours
Students seeking culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and client-centered training
We welcome interns from diverse backgrounds and experiences, and we are proud to provide a training environment that supports BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and multilingual clinicians-in-training.
Program Highlights

Flexible in-person and telehealth experience

Weekly individual supervision, monthly group supervision, and triadic sessions as needed

Mentorship from licensed clinicians, exposure to diverse client populations, and hands-on clinical experience

Quarterly workshops and trainings designed to enhance clinical skills and cultural competency
Requirements
Enrollment in a Master’s or Doctoral program
Proof of liability insurance
Minimum 9-month commitment
Weekly supervision attendance
Completion of all clinical paperwork
Professional, compassionate, and collaborative attitude
Ability to work independently while receiving guidance
