Reencuentro: Reconnecting with the Powerful You

For the woman who’s done everything for everyone else and is ready to find herself again.

Join us for the Reencuentro: Reconnecting with the Powerful You retreat in Oaxaca, Mexico, where you will have the fantastic opportunity to reconnect with your roots, nurture yourself, and embrace and learn about empowerment. We chose Casa Colonial for our retreat because, from the moment we arrived, we felt the space's intentionality and warmth. Oaxaca’s culture, food, people, and energy create an atmosphere that invites slowing down, reconnecting, and being present. Casa Colonial offers the perfect home base—welcoming, walkable to everything, and filled with the city's vibrant spirit. It’s a place where grounding, community, and transformation naturally unfold.

Why?

Because we deserve a space where we don’t have to explain ourselves. A space where our stories, our identity, our humor, our Spanish-Spanglish mix, and the layers of our lived experience are understood without translation. Too often, we move through the world code-switching—adjusting how we speak, think, or show up to fit into spaces that weren’t created with us in mind. This retreat is different. It is intentionally designed by Latinas, for Latinas so we can exhale, feel seen, and simply belong. Here, we can reconnect to ourselves, our heritage, and each other—without needing to educate, justify, or shrink. This is our space to take up room, to heal, and to reclaim joy in community.

What is included in the retreat?

Colorful papel picado banners hang above a cobblestone street in a vibrant neighborhood with painted buildings in red, yellow, blue, and pink.
Colorful flower petals and greenery arranged on a woven basket and a square container, set on a stone surface.
Outdoor relaxing setup with singing bowls and flowers on a blanket in a backyard garden.
