Mirador Counseling, LLC ("Mirador," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through miradorcounseling.com, including when you book a retreat, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers our website and retreat bookings. Therapy clients receive a separate Notice of Privacy Practices.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, and anything you write to us through our contact form, newsletter sign-up, or retreat booking form, such as your room choice and a roommate request.
  • Payment information: payments are processed by Squarespace Payments. Your card details go directly to the payment processor. Mirador never sees or stores your full card number.
  • Information collected automatically: like most websites, our site host, Squarespace, collects basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and cookies, to run the site and show us general visitor statistics.

How we use your information

We use your information only to:

  • Respond to your questions and messages
  • Process your retreat booking and payments
  • Plan the retreat, including room assignments, roommate pairing, airport transfers, and meals
  • Send you updates about your booking and, if you signed up, our newsletter
  • Keep our website running and secure

How we share your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the retreat and our website:

  • Service providers: Squarespace, which hosts our website, processes payments, and sends our emails.
  • Retreat partners: our co-host, Dr. Xochilt Alamillo, and the hotel, airport transfer, and excursion providers for the retreat, only the details they need, such as your name and room assignment.
  • When required by law: if we must respond to a legal request or protect someone's safety.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. Our website does not currently respond to them.

Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, and we keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

Children

Our website and retreats are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top.
