Sonia Pacheco, MA, LPCC
Bilingual Therapist
To Sonia, our identities are like a map; they help us understand how we move through the world, the experiences that have influenced us, and the strengths we carry with us. As a Mexican American, the daughter of Mexican immigrant parents, and a bilingual therapist, Sonia believes that our identities, culture, and family stories influence how we move through the world.
Her work is rooted in the belief that our minds, bodies, and hearts are deeply connected. She believes that the way we care for ourselves through our thoughts, relationships, habits, and daily choices contributes to how we feel and move through life. She often incorporates a somatic approach, helping clients slow down and listen to what their bodies are trying to say, especially when stress, grief, or difficult experiences are hard to put into words.
She also recognizes that our family stories, culture, and the stories of those who came before us can continue to live within us, informing the way we see ourselves and the world around us. Therapy is a place to explore those stories with kindness, curiosity, and care. You don't have to have all the answers before starting therapy. Sometimes the first step is having someone to walk beside you.
