Luz Garcia, M.A. Candidate

Luz is a dedicated and intentional counselor-in-training with a deep passion for helping individuals navigate life’s emotional and personal challenges. Currently completing her counseling degree at Regis University, she brings a compassionate, client-centered approach that emphasizes safety, trust, and empowerment.

Luz has experience working with diverse populations, including first-generation individuals who often face the unique pressures of navigating cultural expectations, identity, and systemic barriers. She also has supported clients dealing with anxiety, depression, addictions, and major life transitions. Her therapeutic style is rooted in empathy, active listening, and a strong belief in each person’s capacity for growth and resilience.

Deeply committed to professional development, Luz regularly attends trainings and workshops to remain informed on the latest therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices.

Outside of the counseling room, Luz finds joy in hiking, reading, and volunteering. She believes in living a balanced life and brings that same philosophy into her work, helping clients reconnect with their inner strengths and take meaningful steps toward healing and wholeness.
